Sierra  Leone Community Beach Outing:  Sweissy Union is organising a fund raising event on Saturday the 30th of July 2011 @ the glorious Brighton Beach.  All funds raised from this event is geared towards our poverty alleviation strategy.

 On Wednesday the 22nd of June 2011, the Mayor of Southwark Council  visits Sweissy union office in recognition of the union hard work in capacity building, and our active role in community empowerment. The Mayor highly recommend our strategic plans and pledge to support the union through thick and thin in helping  us to deliver viable services to the community.

 Sweissy union  is devoted in improving vulnerable and marginalised peoples lives both in the UK, Sierra Leone and the wider community. Since March 2011 Sweissy union has accquired an office space @ the Aylesbury Learning Centre, 2nd Floor Wendover Building, Thurlow Street, London SE17 2UU.  And has installed 14 computers, two photocopiers and two printers all geared to improve less fortunate Citizens lives to improve their IT skills and be able to surf the internet for free. In April 2011, 18 participants from various background has completed their IT training and have acquired reputable NVQ level 2 certificates that will enable them to easily gain employments as receptionists and secretaries.
